Financial literacy instruction can be incorporated into the classroom at all grade levels. Learning in K-16 classrooms needs to advance the understanding of finances through relative lessons with brain-based tools to help formulate a behavior for well-being. Our professional development efforts center around integrating visual tools with instruction that is an active, project-based approach to support learning financial literacy instruction.

The Teaching Financial Education group is working to establish a National Center for Teaching Financial Literacy by formulating alliances with financial institutions, national non-profit organizations, community-and consumer-based groups, and federal, state and local agencies to promote financial education and capability.
